Our mission at Interim HealthCare Palliative Care is to improve the quality of life of seriously ill patients through the utilization of a disease-specific and patient-centered approach, integrating the psychological and spiritual care needs of the patient and family.

We are currently offering Palliative Care services out of our Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, and Pittsburgh, PA offices.

What is Interim HealthCare Palliative Care?

Palliative Care is specialized health care for those with serious illnesses and can often be a complimentary service to medical treatment that is already being received or in tandem with ongoing curative treatment. Focused on providing relief from severe symptoms and the stress that comes with it, the goal of palliative care is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and their family.

While this type of care can be received in a nursing facility or hospital, it is also possible to provide palliative care from the comfort of home. It is appropriate for those at any age and at any stage in a serious illness.

Is Palliative Care Right for My Current Situation?

Serious illnesses that impede on your quality of life, such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, kidney disease, and more make you eligible for palliative care. With palliative care, you can expect to see relief with your symptoms, as well as a better understanding of your diagnosis and how to live with your illness. Our health care professionals work closely with each patients’ team of physicians to ensure that care and support for the patient and their family extend beyond the hospital.

If you think palliative care is something you’d be interested in, ask your doctor for more information and a referral. To make a referral, please call 1.800.615.5224.
