At the heart of Competency Days lies an intricate tapestry of learning, evaluation, and skill refinement. It’s a holistic endeavor aimed not just at assessing theoretical knowledge but also honing the practical aptitude of our healthcare professionals.

Each year, our offices carefully create a detailed plan covering important aspects for clinician excellence. Having a strong knowledge base is crucial, making sure clinicians are familiar with the latest advancements and best practices in their fields. This involves evaluating theoretical knowledge and keeping up with the changing healthcare landscape.
We focused on various items such as IVs, med entry and reconciliation, wound care, bag technique, proper documentation, and trunk supply.
Our goal is to deliver top-notch care with added attention to infection control, and we used a hands-on approach to deliver the review of each of these areas. We have skills days to ensure that we comply with our standards of practice.

Moreover, nursing skills are a fundamental aspect of caregiving that demands dedicated attention. Clinicians immerse themselves in mastering intricate procedures and cultivating empathetic communication through workshops and hands-on sessions. This hands-on training is tailored to refine their nursing skills, enabling them to effectively apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. Ultimately, this enriches their ability to deliver compassionate and proficient care to those in need.

However, last year saw a wonderful addition to the usual Competency Days. To promote camaraderie, motivation, and a positive work environment, our offices added fun and teamwork to the event. Team-building activities, exciting challenges, and shared laughter were included in the schedule.


This event not only made learning more exciting but also brought our healthcare team closer together, creating a feeling of unity and common goals. Looking back on the success of last year’s Skills Day, we are grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. The hard work of the organizers, teachers, facilitators, and especially the active involvement and commitment of our clinicians all contributed to its great success.
